What do you wash the towels with, detergent wise? They are so nice and white!! Thanks in advance:)
❤Hi Mary, I was wondering if you can add chicken wings and even chicken feet to the ox tails. I am wondering if the broth would be just as nutritious and delicious as with the ox tail alone? What are your thoughts? Thank you, and yes, it certainly makes a great treat for my dogs. ❤🌺🌷🧡
Checked out this recipe in May 2026. The price of ox tails & beef shanks is through the roof. Shoprite is charging $12 per pound for oxtails! (I just bought porterhouse steaks on sale for $10 a pound (Memorial Day sale) – how crazy is that? No more scraps and bones from the butcher liked they used to give away for almost nothing.
Oxtails, marrow bone, scraps are now gourmet delicacies for the rich. I was making my own tallow for a while. What they were charging in the grocery store was pretty insane. Maybe a local beef farm?
Unfortunately, everyone is finding ways to squeeze out every dime from everything in their store.
Trimmings and bones and suet were considered scrap in the meat industry at one time. People used to buy big chunks of suet to feed the birds with. Not anymore. 😢
